This collection contains a copy of Augustus G. Sink's Four Years in Dixie a history of the 46th Indiana Regiment during the Civil War. Also included is a copy of the complete musters roll of the 46th Indiana, copies of Newspaper clippings concerning the 46th Indiana, and a copy of Sinks' obituary.

Augustus G. Sinks was born in Montgomery County, Ohio on February 12, 1841. He married Mary Alspach and they had two children. In 1877, two year's after Mary's death, he married Roanna I. Babcock and they had two children. In 1861, he enlisted in the 46th Indiana Regiment, Company K where he remained until 1865 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Augustus G.
